Surcharge
A surcharge is an additional fee applied to an order, such as a holiday surcharge or a service surcharge.
Calculation Formula
The final order total is calculated using the following formula:
Final Order Total = Raw Order Total × (1 + Surcharge Rate)
For example, if the raw order total is $50 and the surcharge rate is 10%, the final order total will be $50 x (1 + 10%) = $55.
Setting Up a Surcharge
To enable surcharges in VendPOS, follow these steps:
- Click the Settings button in the left sidebar.
- Select General from the navigation menu.
- Locate the Holiday & Named Surcharges*section.
- Enable the feature and configure the required surcharge settings.
The surcharge will then be applied automatically to eligible orders.
To disable surcharges, simply turn off Holiday & Named Surcharges.
